For the 2005 vintage there are two Adastra Pinot Noirs: "Proximus" and "Regulus". Both are grown on our estate vineyard, both are farmed organically and both taste great. The "Regulus" is a delicious, balanced, medium-bodied Pinot Noir. The "Proximus" is a bigger, more intense wine, an ultrareserve, our best of the best.
Why "Regulus"? Regulus is named after the brightest star in the constellation Leo. Regulus was also a Roman general famed for his loyalty.
The 2005 Adastra Pinot Noir Regulus has aromas of strawberry, cinnamon bark, earth and undergrowth. On the palate, strawberry, cherry and spice, with a pleasing brightness. A delicious, medium-bodied wine.
