2009 Buccella Cabernet Sauvignon

91-93(WA) The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is the lightest wine of the last four years. However, it is a charming, well-balanced effort that is loaded with fruit. Already a complete wine despite its young age, it should be delicious upon release and will provide attractive drinking during its first decade of life.

I loved Buccella’s 2006 and 2007 Cabernet Sauvignons and 2008 continues their success. Moreover, the 2009 looks to be very charming. Robert Parker Wine Advocate No 192 December 2010

Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon has an enticing nose with hints of blueberries, bright cherry/boysenberry fruit, graphite, dark purple, anise and floral notes with just a tiny hint of savory basil and toasty oak. The wine is very smooth at entry with gobs of juicy, bright and fresh fruit, thick and velvety through the mid-palate, and finished with black cherry, dark chocolate and a similar reminder of fresh, juicy berries.
