2009 David Arthur Three Acre Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (Red Wines / Cabernet Sauvignon)

Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from all three of our distinctive estate vineyard blocks. The Majority of this wine is composed of Cabernet Clone 337, which offers excellent fruit character along with firm and often bold tannins. The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a delicate blend of 93 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, and 7 percent Petite Verdot. The wine gracefully aged in 85 percent new French oak barrels for 23 months. Only 338 cases were produced.

The color is a deep garnet that offers aromas of baked blackberry, black raspberry and hints of olive tapenade, followed by toasted oak spices of toffee, maple-candy and coffee beans. There are aromas of black tea bergamot and cherry-tobacco to cedar notes. The palate is fleshy and lively with sweet with fine grained tannins that are broad, full bodied and rich throughout the back palate while finishing with flavors of black cherry, cassis and lavender” - Nile Zacherle, Winemaker
