2009 Walter Hansel  Chardonnay Russian River

The Russian River chardonnay is from 2 Ranches and three clones; the Rued clone form the Hansen Ranch one mile north of our vineyards and clone 95 and Davis clone 5 from the Feeney Ranch three mile north east of our vineyards. We whole cluster pressed and fermented in 35% new Francois Frere barrels and 65% one and two year old barrels. Barrels were stirred weekly until ML was complete in mid January. Winery Notes
