2007 Bodegas Paso Robles Graciano$29.95 -- 2007 Bodegas Paso Robles GracianoPurchase 2007 Bodegas Paso Robles Graciano Winery Notes Graciano is now considered
a rare Spanish grape. At one time it was one of four major red varietals in the
Rioja region, where it was blended with Tempranillo to produce well-aging,
complex and sophisticated wines. Graciano is even rarer in California -- in the
annual Department of Food & Agriculture grape purchase statistics only two
counties reported sales in 2008. Most viticulturists who grow this varietal use
it in their own blends and it’s been difficult to find any grown commercially.
The vines are prolific and must be constantly controlled, but the grape yields
are normally low, with a high-quality, flavorful berry. Purchase 2007 Bodegas Paso Robles Graciano
