Winery Notes

The 2010 vintage got off to a slow start with rain early in the year and cooler weather throughout the growing season. Slower fruit maturation and lower yields produced a lean wine, with mouthwatering acidity and structured tannins. Despite, or due to, forces of nature, the 2010 Taureau has matured into a balanced Bordeauxstyle blend with finesse, suitable for a wide variety of foods.

Our goal with this wine was to produce an approachable, everyday drinking wine that pairs with a range of foods. Balancing the Merlot beautifully, the earthy Cabernet Franc lends a savory characteristic with hints of anise while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides dark fruit and rich color.
