(91WA) “Blueberry and mint, coriander and black pepper mark the nose and plush yet infectiously juicy palate of Bouland’s 2011 Cote de Brouilly Cuvee Melanie, with the anticipated intimations of things stony and otherwise mineral making a prominent underlying appearance in a generously sustained finish that’s almost ferocious in its vibrant intensity, in striking contrast to the laid-back metaphoric coolness of this wine’s aromatics and its lush mid-palate. Plan to enjoy this through at least 2016.
